Freemail services, especially hotmail, are notoriously bad and will, without your permission, reject mail like forum signups. Gmail is better but we recommend using a proper mail account from an ISP.
Do not use a e-mail forwarding service. The SPF records we have in place means the end mail server will likely reject your registration email (as it seems to it like the forwarding mail server sent the original message which the SPF disallows).
Do not use a throw away mail accounts. Sorry but these mails have been abused on the forum and we no longer allow them. Accounts found with junk mail address will be demoted/disabled. Sorry again but we need to protect the forum from spammers.
